ipad 2 and ipod touch
being an apple user, i am very happy using my ipad. It is a lot easier for me to post a new story. i can do it from the middle of nowhere, as long as there is gsm signal available.
my ipad is the first ipad generation. when apple releasing the new ipad 2 last week, i was tempted to have one. it is claimed lighter, faster and has camera installed. in my mind it more or less like the ipod touch.
i am using ipod touch, i love using it. what a handy little gadget. in my ipad and ipod touch, i am having several music editor application installed. and i can have lots of fun, recording certain melody of my own whenever i have free time using these 2 gadgets. many times the melody comes up in my mind, and if i did not immediately write it, i lost my track. having my ipod touch always in my pocket, i am not afraid of losing tunes anymore.
easier using ipad in recording the melodies as it has bigger screen. the quality of the sound produced is very good (piano). i am using virtuoso piano pro on both gadgets. but i still can't find good song writer app.
my temptation of having the ipad 2 is not strong as last week. i think i will stick on my existing ipad. i have my ipod touch to take pictures and videos anyway.

yogyakarta and keroncong

early this year, i have to fly quiet often to yogyakarta, a part of indonesia that has strong culture influence in their community daily life.
visiting yogyakarta always fill my heart with a warm nice feeling. the friendliness of the
people and the richness of their culture giving me just a perfect combination in facing the
life. somehow i feel the similarity between yogyakarta and bali - my homeland.
profusion of nature beauty and culture. intruding immensely into my soul.
for me keroncong and yogyakarta is a package, can't be separated. i found many keroncong
groups perform in many places in the city, from the street performance to the keroncong group
in hotels' stage. Some of them are really good. i found a more contemporary in malioboro street, but i failed to take the picture.
keroncong is a traditional javanese music, but it is inspired a lot of portugese music. the term keroncong, was a mimic of ukulele sounds which a must instrument in a keroncong group. they have acoustic bass, violin and sometimes flute.
talking about keroncong, it can not be avoided to also mention an indonesian maestro of keroncong. he is the late gesang martohartono or known as gesang, who composed the famous bengawan solo. this masterpiece is well known especially in japan. several keroncong songs which also composed by him such as terang bulang (full moon), tirtonadi, jembatan merah (red bridge), etc.
he was born in surakarta, october 1, 1917. the famous bengawan solo said was composed by him when he was only 23 years old (it was in 1940). he died in his hometown, in the age of 92 (may, 20, 2010).
below is a free music scores for all of you. did it myself, hope you enjoy.

low cost carrier
hi, i am back.
i was too lazy to write something during the past one and a half year.
time running very fast, and i have just realized that i have been away for quiet long.
will try very hard to push myself to drop the laziness and start blogging again this year.
my first abroad trip in 2011 was to singapore mid of february.
that was the first time for me to fly low cost carrier airline.
i chose AirAsia who won the best low cost carrier airline award.
i must say it was not bad at all.
the service airasia gave on and off board were met the expectation even above.
well...., don't get me wrong, my writing is not to promote airasia, but if they get the good name because of my post, that is for their benefit.
a truth should always be a truth! agree??
i never like in flight meals. smells good but taste awful for me. i don't know why, somehow I
don't feel the freshness when having them.
usually i ate in flight meals only when i am really hungry, otherwise i just take the desserts.
on my airasia flight to singapore last february, i had a cup of coffee.
from the taste and smell i was pretty sure it was nescafe served.
very quickly my mind linked to the phenomenal nescafe famous ads "open up".
the original song was sung by laurie anderson.
my flight from bali to singapore was a pleasant one.
really enjoyed my first experience flying a low cost carrier flight.
oh..., i also did online check in which was very efficient.
(psssttt.....! but not in ngurah rai airport - somehow they did not provide special counter for online check in passengers).
for sure, in my next trip i will choose airasia again, as i save quiet a lot.
but i still can't imagine if it will be comfortable flying long hours with a low cost carrier craft.
and here, i copied the lyric of nescafe open up for you.
you can be rich with no money to spend,
you can do everything when you understand,
you can be mother when you are a man,
open up - you know that you can.
open your eyes, open your mind, open your thoughts - don’t stay behind!
(open up, open up, open up, open up)
nescafé
(open up, open up, open up, open up)
the key is inside you to open your mind,
you know what is helping (outhere???) - your heart can’t be blind,
open your eyes and open your mind,
open your thoughts - don’t stay behind!
open your eyes, open your mind, open your thoughts - don’t stay behind!
(open up, open up, open up, open up)
nescafé
(open up, open up)
you race all the boarders and start in your head,
open your mind to thoughts out and say, (????)
open your eyes and open your mind,
open your thoughts and don’t stay behind.
open your eyes, open your mind, open your thoughts - Don’t stay behind!
(open up, open up, open up, open up)
nescafé
(open up, open up, open up, open up
open up, open up,
open up, open up)
nescafé
(open up, open up,
open up, open up,
open up, open up,
open up, open up,
open up, open up)
