"There's A Kind Of Hush" is a popular song written by Les Reed and Geoff Stephens.

The best-known version of the song is by Herman's Hermits, who took it to #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #6 in the United World Chart in 1967, eclipsing a cover version which had been released by Gary and the Hornets that had garnered regional success in the United States. Nine years later, the song was a worldwide smash for The Carpenters, who extended the title to include almost the entire first line of the lyric: "There's A Kind Of Hush (All Over The World)". However, Richard Carpenter explained in the liner notes to the Carpenters' 2004 best-of compilation, Gold, that although he and Karen Carpenter loved the song, he was not particularly pleased with how their remake turned out:

"...one of Karen's and my favorite songs from the '60s. In hindsight, however, even though our version was a hit, I wish we'd never recorded it. Here are three reasons why: (1) The original was, and is, perfectly fine. (2) Our foray into the oldies should have ended with the medley featured on side 2 of [the duo's hit LP] Now & Then, 1973. (3) The use of a synthesizer in some of our recordings has not worn well with me, on this track, or just about any other track on which I used it."

In 2006, the experimental rock band Deerhoof covered the song on their self-released, internet-only Untitled E.P..

PLURALITY

Seeing various colors on the above picture I took few hours ago, it is beautiful, isn't it? Reminded me of a reality show that I watched few weeks ago on a national Indonesian TV.

I was really impressed, the guest invited on that session was the Sultan of Jogja or he is known as Hamengku Buwono X. When was asked by the host (Andy F. Noya - one of my favorite journalist!), his opinion of the plurality, he described very clearly, plurality (in Indonesian society) actually should not be a problem, as long as the majority can play their part as the protector against the minority not being a dictator to cornered the minority.

What a wonderful and wise way of thinking. For me, plurality is a destiny, we are just a human being who can not choose our own skin color when we were born. So......, why should we complaint or arising issues on plurality, we should just see the beauty of plurality, like the colors on my picture.

People said that every seasons has its own charm. But many people choose 'AUTUMN' or 'FALL' as their favorite season.

I never experienced myself having Autumn as I was raised in a 2 seasons country.
Seeing picture of Autumn, paying attention to people story, reading novel with Autumn setting, listening to the music which appoint Autumn as the theme has given me a quiet clear picture of the season.

SNOW ROSE & Reality

Sometimes we really want to live in the world that we are dreaming, right?

But in this post, I would like to write Snow Rose who sings the other version of REALITY.

Never knew about her before a friend of mine - uuuuugh really miss him! :-) sent REALITY by Snow Rose. I fell in love to her voice at the first time listening Snow Rose! Great Voice and good guitar performance.

SINGIN' IN THE RAIN

Dropping my love one for his second vipassana retreat at Banjar - Buleleng region BALI, I drove back to Denpasar. Climbing up the mountain the rain started to pour quiet heavy......, forcing me to slowdown. But it did not make me upset. I always love rain!

The smell of the earth after raining gave a pleasant feeling in my heart. It gave freshness to the surrounding.

I stopped at the vegetables & fruit market. See the above picture, it was taken just before the second heavy rain pouring again.
